About Torri

Hi! I am Victoria Hanna, and I am a fiber artist.
I received my BA in Fine Arts with a Concentration in Fibers from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota.
I lived in Colorado for many years after college, where I learned to knit and spin and for a time, managed and taught classes at Lambspun of Colorado.
My original designs have been featured in Interweave Knits, Piecework and Beadwork Magazines.
I moved back to Canby, Minnesota, where for many years, I owned and operated my yarn store, Briar Rose Fibers.
I spent several years in Walnut Grove, MN where I worked with Blackhawk Studios.
I am now working in my store, studio and gallery, Torri's Tangles to Treasures in Fergus Falls, MN.
You can find me there weaving, embroidering, knitting and spinning.

Weaving a life

I have worked with a variety of materials over the years. One of my favorite materials in my sculptural weavings is an acrylic-coated copper wire which I use for its vibrant colors and light reflecting properties. It is also natural to bend and manipulate the fabric once woven, and the resulting "wall sculpture" is durable and delightful!
