I feel that working with our fiber craft is essential to our mental well being. Therefore, I am open as of May 26th with some mandated restrictions for the safety of my customers and myself.

Please do not handle the merchandise.

Ask for assistance and I will find the yarns you want. Not all of the yarn available is on display. Let me help you source the right yarn for your project.

Please wear a mask.

Covid-19 seems to be primarily spread airborne person to person. My mask protects you, your mask protects me and your fellow customers.

Please maintain social distancing.

I have restricted public store access to the front area only. Maximum of 2 customers in the store at any time.

I will be open from 10 to 2 Monday through Saturday

or by appointment. Call Torri at 507-401-7907

About the yarn: I have been closed to the public and the yarn has been safely stored since March 14th. I still have most of the yarn bagged and shelved to continue sanitary protocals. I wear a mask as I handle the yarn. Please check my website for new yarn arrivals.

Schacht Spindle has reopened their loom and wheel factory. As they catch up with backorders, I will be able to bring in new equipment if I do not already have it in stock.

About Torri

Hi! I am Victoria Hanna, and I am a fiber artist. I received my BA in Fine Arts with a Concentration in Fibers from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. I lived in Colorado for many years after college, where I learned to knit and spin and for a time, managed and taught classes at Lambspun of Colorado, as well as creating my own weaving and knitting designs. My original designs have been featured in Interweave Knits, Piecework and Beadwork Magazines. I then moved back to Canby, Minnesota, where for many years, I owned and operated my yarn store, Briar Rose Fibers. I spent several years in Walnut Grove, MN where I worked with Blackhawk Studios. I am now working full time in my store, studio and gallery, Torri's Tangles to Treasures in Fergus Falls, MN. You can find me there weaving, embroidering, knitting and spinning.

Weaving a life

I have worked with a variety of materials over the years. One of my favorite materials in my sculptural weavings is an acrylic-coated copper wire which I use for its vibrant colors and light reflecting properties. It is also natural to bend and manipulate the fabric once woven, and the resulting "wall sculpture" is durable and delightful!

My work with ceramics began in college, then took a long break until several years ago, when I gained access to clay and a kiln. I experimented with creating unique carved drop spindles for spinning. I also create hand made ceramic buttons which are washable and perfect accents for a handknit sweater or woven jacket. To see all the available spindles and buttons, please come to my store in Fergus Falls.
